| During the second flood, Ivan, the Lake Logan-Cecil Volunteer Fire Department found itself treading water just like everyone else. The station which sits on the west bank of the West Fork of the Pigeon River, was evacuated along with personnel, vehicles, and valuable equipment. Many of the firefighters including Rick, moved to higher ground around the Inman Chapel. The pews made for tough sleeping for one stormy night, but sanctuary took on a whole new meaning for many of us. We had much to be thankful for as the Lake Logan Dam held. |
