So, you painstakingly put together an award-winning website (perhaps using the tools on the last page), being sure to name the first page "index.html" so people see that when they go to your personal webpages on MAIN. Now, for the life of you, you can't figure out how to upload the files to your free user web-directory. Well....you've come to the right place. If you don't already have an FTP program, here's your chance to download one for free (and since the pictures and directions in the tutorials are from these programs, it's good to do at least a practice page with them to get used to the process):
Download WS-FTP for Windows 95/98/2000
Download Fetch 3.0 for Macintosh OS 9 and below
Download RBrowserLite for Macintosh OS X
The tutorials that follow assume you have a good understanding of basic computer operations: opening and closing files, creating folders and directories, the different hard drives on which you can store files; that you have an understanding of how websites work, and you have created your files for upload. At the end of the tutorial, you'll know how to copy files from your computer onto our server have them be visible on the Web. If you don't understand the basics, you might want to check with other tutorials in our help pages (linked HERE) to sharpen your skills. If you're ready to upload your files, read on:
