Bat Cave: is spread out along US-74-A in the narrow valley, almost a gorge, through which flows the Broad River. East of Hendersonville, there are no industrial sites and all commerce activity is consumer, primarily tourist, oriented. Real Estate in this area is generally above average in cost.

Edneyville: is an agricultural community east of Hendersonville. The swelling population in the Henderson County Area has spilled over into Edneyville and more and more residences are replacing apple trees. Etowah: is a small, rural community west of Hendersonville and a haven for many folks who just want to get away from it all. There is no industry in the immediate area and the little commercial activity is consumer oriented. Real Estate in this area is generally above average in cost.

Flat Rock: is a community adjoining Hendersonville's southern boundary. It is a community with more than just history- it is a special life. The community is full of people wanting to escape from the "fast lane" of today's life- and it seems that many, if not most, of the residents of Flat Rock aren't escaping from but escaping to. Fletcher: is just across the county line from Arden/Asheville though some distance south of Downtown Asheville. There is a broad economic range of residential areas, including some very attractive developments, plus some industrial sites. Fletcher is the "airport community", being the site of the Asheville Regional Airport. Many fine hotels/motels provide convenient accommodations to compliment the industrial parks and national/international business enterprises.
