Using WinSCP to transfer files (FTP)

WinSCP is a free FTP client for Windows.

Configure WinSCP for FTP access to your web site. Start WinSCP and configure the Session settings as follows:

• Enter your domain name in Host name.
• Enter your FTP User name and Password.
• Under File protocol select "FTP".
• Check Advanced options.

After turning on advanced options, the Connection entry will appear in the left pane:

• Click Connection in the left pane.
• On the right, under Connection, check Passive mode.

• Click Login to connect.
