In this centennial year of the birth of the African American writer Ralph Ellison, his iconic novel Invisible Man is still banned by schools throughout the nation. On October 14, at 7:00, retired literature professor Nancy Lewis will explore how this landmark novel offers a searing, nightmarish portrait of racism and power that still resonates within our society.
