Author and Musician Danny Ellis at the Weaverville Library

Author and Celtic musician Danny Ellis will be at the Weaverville Library on Tuesday, April 8th at 7:00 to talk about his memoir The Boy at the Gate. In the 1950s eight year old Danny was abandoned by his mother and sent to Ireland’s notoriously brutal Artane Industrial School for orphaned and abandoned boys.
First in his CD “800 Voices” and then in his memoir, he deals with the search for the meaning in his mother’s betrayal and the discovery of the healing power of music. Sponsored by the Friends of Weaverville Library. For more information call the Library at 250-6482.
