During his decade-long tenure as a writer for the Asheville Citizen-Times, Rick McDaniel was witness to many of the events, places, and people that turned Asheville into a food mecca. McDaniel will share these and other stories from his new book, Asheville Food: A History of High Country Cuisine, which takes Asheville eating back to its early roots and also looks at where we stand today and what is on the horizon in food, booze, beer, and more.
