"Hand, Heart, Head - Why I am an Ethical Humanist"

"Hand, Heart, Head - Why I am an Ethical Humanist" will be presented by Ethical Society members, Tom Heffner, Terra Weaver and Jim Tobin, at the Sunday, September 15th meeting of the Ethical Society of Asheville, 2:00 - 3:30 PM at the Friends Meeting House, 227 Edgewood Road (off Merrimon Avenue near UNCA).

Heffner, Weaver and Tobin will share their thoughts and the experiences that have contributed to their becoming Ethical Humanists, what Ethical Culture means to them and why they are involved. This platform topic is, also, part of the WNC Coalition of Reason "We're Coming Out" campaign. There will be a discussion period following the presentations. Following the meeting, there will time for informal conversation and light refreshments. All are welcome!

The Ethical Society of Asheville is a humanist, educational, philosophical, non-theistic alternative to traditional religions. It is member organization of the American Ethical Union, an affiliate of the American Humanist Association, and both are affiliated with the International Humanist and Ethical Union. Members are inspired by the ideal that the supreme aim of human life is working to create a more humane society.
