INWARD BOUND MINDFULNESS EDUCATION (iBme) BRINGS NATIONAL
TEEN MINDFULNESS MEDITATION RETREAT TO NORTH CAROLINA SEPTEMBER 27-29
I love life. I love myself. THANK YOU. – Maria, age 18
What a way to bring in the new school year and the Fall Season!
Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme) is bringing one of it’s nationally known teen meditation retreats to Asheville this Septmber 27-29 at the Bend of Ivy Lodge.
Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of teens, parents, and professionals. Through mindfulness retreats, iBme helps participants cultivate awareness, compassion, and kindness for themselves, others, and the natural world.
Mindfulness education is spreading across the country into schools and youth programs as research comes out about how these skills improve memory, concentration, emotion-regulation, and self-esteem in young people. This is introducing thousands of young people to the practice of mindfulness.
The iBme retreat model is unique in that it allows participants to dive deeper into mindfulness practices in a safe, residential environment. Participants gain a level of insight into their own experience and heart felt connection with peers that may be only possible in a retreat setting.
The weekend retreat is normally for ages 14-19. Teens will explore their body and mind through the practices of insight meditation; qi gong and yoga; delicious organic meals; and tools to deepen their listening and speaking skills. These retreats are fun and transformational for teens and staff alike.
