Taking the Dream Home Rallies

The North Carolina NAACP, the inspiration for the Moral Monday rallies including the Mountain Moral Monday on August 5th, is holding rallies in every US Congressional District in NC on Wednesday, August 28th. Since Asheville and Buncombe County is split into both the 10th and 11th Districts, the 2 rallies affecting us will be held in Sylva (for the 11th District) and Lincolnton (for the 10th District. The purpose of the statewide rallies is to demand that Congress reinstate those sections of the Voting Rights Act that the Supreme Court unwisely gutted. Transportation to the rallies is available.
