The first year the animal affair decorated the town with one-of-a-kind embellished chickens.
During the second year, ducks wandered the streets of Weaverville. So, many are
wondering what type of animal will descend upon the town this year. The 2013 Enchanted Animal
Affair will brighten the town with the light of the Phoenix!
These clever illuminated sculptures signify the Weaverville Business Association’s
mission to bolster the spirit of community through projects such as the animal
affair and the investment in the renovation of The Lake Louise Community Center.
The WBA is committed to promote Weaverville's local business and art community.
This year's affair will kick-off on May 24th at Maggie B's Wine & Specialty Store,
downtown Weaverville. From there, the phoenix will take flight to the sponsoring businesses.
They will nest there for the public to discover each illuminated
phoenix from June 1st through June 25th. Be sure to seek out each phoenix in the scavenger
hunt to be entered in a drawing to win one of the unique sculptures!
To conclude the Affair, the creatures will shine their brilliant light for
the public for the last time at one of Weaverville's most anticipated summer events, the 2013
Enchanted Animal Affair Gala and Auction. The phoenixes will be auctioned off at the Lake Louise
