The company is called MOTION Dance Theatre, and its founder and artistic director, Nick Kepley, has travelled far and wide, collecting the knowledge and talent needed and bringing back to his home.

Kepley describes MOTION as a “choreographic laboratory,” rather than a traditional concert performance company. Each summer, he chooses dancers and guest choreographers from across the country and provides them with three weeks of restriction-free time to create new work.

MOTION Dance Theatre presents two performances at Diana Wortham Theatre Friday July 12th and Saturday July 13th, both at 8pm.
