Ethical Society of Asheville - January Platform Meeting

“Emancipation Proclamation – one hundred and fifty years of words and deeds, progress and setbacks, and a continuing march toward justice” will be presented at the Sunday, January 20th meeting of the Ethical Society of Asheville, 2:00-3:30 PM at the Friends Meeting House, 227 Edgewood Road in North Asheville (off Merrimon Avenue near UNCA). In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday a panel of members of the Ethical Society of Asheville will discuss how the generations-long struggle for equality under the law and in society at large has impacted their lives. Discussion follows the presentation. Refreshments will be served during the social time following the meeting. All are welcome! The Ethical Society of Asheville is a humanist, educational, philosophical, non-theistic alternative to traditional religions.
