Ethical Society of Asheville - Winter Festival: Our Favorite Things

“Winter Festival: Our Favorite Things” - an intergenerational, participatory program with holiday decorations, music, story and readings followed by delicious holiday refreshments from our members’ family heritage will be led by Joy McConnell at the Sunday, December 16th meeting of the Ethical Society of Asheville, 2:00-3:30 PM, held at the Friends Meeting House, 227 Edgewood Road in North Asheville (off Merrimon Avenue near UNCA). Families with children are welcome. Refreshments will be served during the social time after the program. Joy McConnell, who after serving as Associate Leader in St. Louis and Leader in Chicago served as American Ethical Union (AEU) Religious Education Director and Growth and Development Professional. She consulted with Ethical Societies across the US, has been involved in AEU growth initiatives and led workshops and board retreats. McConnell was one of the founders of the AEU Lay Leadership Summer School and served on staff from 1996 to 2008. She is currently the Consulting Leader to the Ethical Society of Asheville.
