Reception for Local Artist

You Are Invited… to a reception for local artist, Mindy McCormack in honor of the mosaics she has designed, created and installed on the façade of the Weaverville Library.

The Weaverville Library Friends contracted with local mosaic artist Mindy McCormack to design and install two original mosaics for the front of the building in space that had been cemented over in the original renovation in the late 70s. She did two mountain scenes of summer and fall with tiles she made and fired herself. She completed the installation in July and the Friends are very proud to support a local artist and beautify the facade of the building at the same time. These mosaics will be a permanent reminder of our Friends ongoing commitment to the Library and Mindy’s creative talent.
