Positive Prevention 12K/5K

Road racing makes its fall debut at the historic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina with the Positive Prevention 5K/12K on Sunday, November 4, hosted by the Western North Carolina AIDS Project (www.wncap.org). Proceeds will be used to expand HIV/AIDS prevention programs throughout 18 counties in Western North Carolina.

The 12K will begin at 7:15 am, with the 5K to start at 7:30 am.

Both races are run entirely on the scenic grounds of the Biltmore estate. The 12K begins at Antler Hill Village and goes straight across onto a service road and then pick up the end of the Approach road before looping in front of the main house. Runners next enter the Walled Garden, pass by the Azalea Garden and lagoon along the French Broad River, and then finish by returning to the Winery. The first half of the course one challenging hill, while the second half is down hill to flat terrain. The 5K-course will be a flat, out and back course starting at Antler Hill Village and paralleling the French Broad River.
