UU Church's March Social Justice Movie

Asheville's Unitarian Universalist Congregation’s 7:00 PM March 9 Social Justice Film, will be the disturbing yet fascinating film, "Casino Jack and the United States of Money".

This film chides Jack Abramoff & other lobbyists, for their impact on US politics while peddling influence in Washington’s corridors of power.; e.g., as part of his actions, and with the help of Tom DeLay, Jack defrauded Native American tribes. Now out of prison, he is hitting the talk shows with his new “tells all” book.

The scope of our many legislators of both political persuasions who were bought by Abramoff’s schemes is most worrisome. Tom DeLay, perhaps best known, left the Congress in disgrace after the house of cards unraveled. (His prison sentence is still pending)

Move to Amend the Constitution to end corporate personhood is a part of UUCA’s Social Justice efforts.
