McDowell County apparel maker Kitsbow to close in 3 weeks

OLD FORT, N.C. (WLOS) — An employee-owned company in McDowell County is closing.
Kitsbow in Old Fort posted on Instagram and its website Tuesday that the company would be closing in three weeks.
The post described the news as "devastating and disappointing," saying it is the end of a dream for employees, customers and supporters.
In January 2022, the company, which sells locally-made apparel for cyclists, was purchased by employees with the help of private investors.
