A single pretty blue flower with 2 rounded blue petals on top and a singular white smaller petal beneath. FLOWERS:
May to the first frost

HABITAT:
Open low, moist disturbed areas, roadsides, and wooded borders.

OFFSITE INFORMATION:

The Oklahoma Biological Survey has another very good closeup of this flower.

Some beautiful closeups and observations about the Dayflower and Spiderwort family can be found at the Institue for Scientific Computation.

Even though they're looking at them as weeds, Crop-Net has a good picture of the whole plant.
