ASHEVILLE - The local chapter of Women's Action for New Directions will hold a panel presentation and group discussion on "priorities for a viable future" Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Jubilee! Community Church, 46 Wall St. Dee Eggers, assistant professor of environmental studies at UNC Asheville, will discuss the environment; Buncombe County Director of Election Services Trena Parker will talk about election reform; and June Kimmel, southwest representative to the N.C. Council for Women will talk about the national budget and women's issues. Mayor Leni Sitnick will be the convener. A $10 donation is suggested.
