Brittany Jackson

Brittany Jackson is a graduate of UNC Asheville class of 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. Originally from Washington, NC, Brittany began attending East Carolina University in 2009 where she concentrated her studies in French, anthropology and art.

Brittany moved to Asheville in 2012 to pursue a liberal arts education and a degree in video production. Interning at MAIN fostered her already present enthusiasm for activism and grassroots social movements.

Brittany worked at MAIN during the Spring 2014 semester. During her time at MAIN, she served as the assistant aggregated news content editor, submitting articles for the MAIN homepage on a daily basis, increasing usage and readership. She also assisted with the writing of grant supplements and FAQ sheets.

Brittany is a firm believer in the power of education and the arts as agents for social change and hopes to promote these beliefs through her work.
