COLUMBUS — Thermal Belt Outreach has received $1,725 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation just in time to help feed local residents. Outreach will use the gift to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables for its pantry.

“We are so grateful for both the generosity of the Food Lion Feeds Foundation and our local Food Lion store No. 510 in Columbus," said Outreach Executive Director George Alley. “This grant will allow us to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables in the fall, which are often requested by our clients."

"The store also donated more than 90,000 pounds of vegetables, desserts, breads, and meats in 2018 and was recently recognized by MANNA Food Bank with the Full Plate Award!”
