TRIAD Henderson offering fraud, scam prevention presentations

TRIAD Henderson County is providing fraud and scam prevention presentations free of charge to interested groups.

The presentation covers types of frauds and scams, how to recognize and avoid them and signs and prevention of elder abuse. The program is designed for religious groups, civic clubs, home owners’ associations and other community organizations in Henderson County.

TRIAD is a national partnership that came out of the National Sheriff's Association and brings together law enforcement, older adults, and organizations providing services to seniors with a focus on reducing victimization. Triad's mission is to reduce criminal victimization of older citizens by working to decrease unwarranted fear of crime and improve safety and quality of life for all seniors in our community.

In Henderson County, the TRIAD partnership includes the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, Hope Rx, Henderson County Department of Social Services, Council on Aging, Hendersonville Police Department and many senior service providers across the community.
