Utica man arrested during traffic stop, drugs seized

Utica police and the US Marshal Service and tactical unit arrested a Utica man after an investigation into the sale and distribution of heroin, Utica police report.

Heroin was seized during a traffic stop, police said.

Luis Miguel Rivera, 22, of Utica, was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Rivera was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop in the area of Arcadia Avenue and Village Road, police report.
