Building coming down at former Antrim Builders

Welsh Run Builders took down the top level of a structure on the vacant Antrim Building and Farm Supply site on Friday.

Greencastle borough council president Charles Eckstine said officials were concerned that if heavy snow settled on the roof in the winter, the building could collapse onto Chambers Lane and possibly passing vehicles.

The hope was that the crew would find enough value in the salvage lumber to cover their labor costs.
