One person is dead and another in the hospital after an overnight shooting at a Fayetteville restaurant on Sunday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One person is dead and another in the hospital after an overnight shooting in front of a Fayetteville restaurant on Sunday.

Officers responded to a shooting outside the Island Flava Restaurant and Lounge located at 2000 Owen Drive.

They found two people had been shot, and the suspect had fled.

Bruce McLeod, 33, of Laurinburg, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Gavin Hale, 33, also of Laurinburg, was stable at a local hospital.

A portion of Owen Drive near the scene was closed while officers investigated the shooting. Officials said it does not appear to be a random shooting.
