ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A 19-year-old wanted for killing an Asheville teen more than a year ago may be using an alias and staying in the Greensboro, Raleigh or Durham areas, authorities said.
The U.S. Marshals are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Dionate Whitson, who is wanted by the Asheville Police Department on a first-degree murder charge following a Nov. 28, 2020, killing of a teenager.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Whitson may be among the homeless population or staying in homeless shelters.
Whitson is described as a black male with brown eyes and black hair. He stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Whitson has a tattoo on the inside his left forearm. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
