Rep. Meadows to step down as leader of Freedom Caucus

Representative Mark Meadows will step down as chairman of the House Freedom Caucus next month.

The caucus of GOP legislators was founded in January of 2015. Meadows was elected to lead the group in December of 2016.

He said he's been honored and humbled to serve as the chairman.

Arizona's Representative Andy Biggs will replace Meadows as the group's leader.
