Missing: Cherokee Indian Police ask public for help looking for teenager

CHEROKEE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Cherokee Indian Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for a teenage girl reported missing.

The police department says 16-year-old Ofelia "Ofee" Garcia was last seen on Feb. 2, 2023 around 7 p.m. near Bia/Sequoyah Trail Road.

Ofelia is described as 5'1" with black hair and dark brown eyes.

Police say she has a septum piercing, a scar on her neck and that she might be wearing low top white Nike shoes with purple or dark green on them.
