Two people injured following car crash into West Asheville house

A car slammed into a home in West Asheville late Monday night. It happened on Johnston Boulevard near the intersection of North Bear Creek Road not far from Johnston Elementary School.

Officer said the call came in around 10:50 pm. They said two cars were involved. Officers confirmed that two people, one from each of the cars, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Asheville police said one of the people had a gunshot wound. Officers said they are investigating if the gun shot wound and the car crash are related.

Asheville police, Asheville fire, and Buncombe EMS responded to the scene.
