The search continues for the person responsible for the Grove Street shooting that happened last month.

One person was seriously injured in the shooting that happened as people were leaving Scandals about 2 a.m. Oct. 5.

At Wednesday night's Citizens Police Advisory Committee meeting, central district representative Jerry Kivet said it's been a month and the community wants answers.

"I think people are concerned that there is no leads and, you know, Scandals is a queer place that people frequent," Kivet said. "So, I think that there is some general fear in the community."

A spokesperson for Asheville police said authorities do not believe the victim was the intended target. They do not believe the shooting was a hate crime.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. If you have any information on what happened, call Asheville police at 828-259-5878.
