WASHINGTON, D.C. (WLOS) — An Asheville man was arrested in Washington, D.C., one day prior to the "Save America" rally in the nation's capitol.
Thomas Gronek, 46, was stopped in what D.C. police described as a multi-colored school bus.

He faces multiple charges, including illegally carrying a rifle and a pistol which were found in the bus.
Neighbors of the home listed at the address Gronek gave authorities said they've seen the bus parked next door. However, the person who lives at the address Gronek listed said he had not lived there for several years.
"That's just ridiculous," said neighbor Beverly Messer. "I mean, there's more mature, reasonable ways of handling things."

Records show Gronek has a conviction in Tennessee for theft. He also had a bankruptcy filing in 2011 when he lived in California.
