Tree falls across I-40 near Brevard Road Road exit, hitting 2 vehicles

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Buncombe County authorities said a tree fell across Interstate 40 near the Brevard Road exit on Thursday night, hitting two vehicles.

The westbound lanes were blocked shortly before 11 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

As of 11:25 p.m. one lane was reopened and traffic was slowly starting to move.
