Noah, Lloyd and Elzie Carroll shared the word of God with the
congregation of Mt.
Pleasant Primitive
Baptist Church
during the time of their ministry.
Lloyd was serving as pastor when the church was moved from the Cooper
place. That building is now the dwelling behind the cemetery. Elzie may or may not have preached revivals but did visit
from time to time.

Bertie Carroll Scarbrough was a sister to the
Carroll brothers. Brother Scarbrough held
revivals also for Mt.
Pleasant Primitive
Baptist. He was a good preacher with a dry sense of humor that
sometimes took a minute or two to understand what or where he was coming.
Mrs. Bertie always had the sweetest smile. The Scarbroughs
started a mission church in a skating rink near the community of cotton mills
inGeneva, AL
during the mid 1950's. From a skating rink to a church built in the middle of
the cotton mills community, the Scarbroughs led
many young people as well as parents to the Lord during that time. Thier daughter Claudette visited the church often.
