General Tournament Information

Wrestling Style:  From this point forward this year, ALL AGE DIVISIONS in tournaments sponsored by USAW will wrestle under FREESTYLE and/or GRECO-ROMAN rules only. No Folkstyle will be available.

Spectator Admission: $3 per person. Kids 3& Under Free – Limit of $8 per family.

Entry Fees: usually $10 for freestyle/greco and $15 for folkstyle. Online registration is strongly suggested for local events, and is requried for state events.

Additional tournaments may be added to this schedule later in the spring – we may even try to host one here in Haywood County, depending on the interest expressed in doing so.

For additional information or to register on-line, go to the ncwrestling.org web site.

Beginning in May, the focus of most USAW tournaments turns to preparation for regional and national competitions. Depending on the level of interest in these tournaments, HCWC may continue to offer practice sessions to prepare our wrestlers for the regional and national tournaments.
