Health Care

Excellent medical care is available to the people of Graham County at the Tallulah Health Center, 409 Tallulah Road, Robbinsville, 828-479-6434; and the Graham County Department of Public Health, 21 South Main Street, Robbinsville, 828-479-7900.

Also available to county residents through the Britthaven of Graham facility is outpatient orthopedic and occupational therapy, 828-479-8421.

The Healing House offers support-group therapy for cancer patients, 828-479-8320.

Long-term care is supplied by the Britthaven of Graham, 828-479-8421, on Milltown Road; and Windwood Rest Home, 828-479-6948. Britthaven of Graham offers care for patients on all care levels. It has a state licensed eight-week training program for certifying nurses assistants and recently received a perfect score from a state inspection.

Windwood Rest Home offer care for residents who can care for themselves, but who need help preparing meals and taking baths.

The county provides an ambulance service staff with licensed Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians. Together with an active volunteer rescue squad, the Graham County emergency workers are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to offer a quick response when one dials "911."
