CML awarded $20,000 grant

Citizens for Media Literacy has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation of Winston-Salem, N.C.

One of North Carolina's leading foundations, Z. Smith Reynolds has in recent years focused its attention on improving the criminal justice system, on strengthening public elementary and secondary education, on preserving the environment, and on issues that impact minorities and women.

"Being recognized by a prestigious foundation like Z. Smith Reynolds is a strong vote of confidence in the mission of Citizens for Media Literacy," said CML executive director Wally Bowen.
