Learning about Pysanky at the Weaverville Library - Tuesday, March 10th at 7:00. Pysanky refers to eggs created by the written-wax batik method and utilizing traditional folk motifs and designs. Several other types of decorated eggs are seen in Ukrainian tradition, and these vary throughout the regions of Ukraine. Sarah Eadie will demonstrate the technique and will discuss a variety of designs and their symbolism. Sponsored by the Friends of the Weaverville Library.
