Before the family comes over and the food is ready, visit Lake James State Park to learn about the bird that was nearly our national icon, the turkey. Join Park Ranger Kevin Bischof at 10:00 a.m. as he discusses some natural history of the turkey as the kids make their very own turkeys out of supplies provided by Lake James itself.
