Long before there was a state park at Lake James, people lived along Paddy’s Creek and its surrounding landscape. Evidence of their existence remains in the shadows of the homes they lived in and the walls they built for livestock and property lines. Ranger Clay Veasey will take you to some of these historic sites on this special tour around the park. Learn how to identify old home sites and begin the process of discovering the stories they tell about their inhabitants. Meet at the Paddy’s Creek Area bathhouse breezeway at 10 a.m.
