Garrison Day at the Fort

This event features demonstrations and colonial vendors in authentic dress in a colonial style fort. Admission is $2 per person hours are 10am to 4pm
Come out to Davidson’s Fort to witness a snapshot of the American Revolution! Talk to craftspeople as they ply their trade, watch the soldiers drill, and discuss with the civilians about what it was like to live in the 18th Century.
The reconstructed fort is designed to educate and highlight the history of McDowell County at the head of the Catawba River during the late 1700’s.
