Join us for a fall race in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. In only its third year, the race has become famous for its generous swag package, picturesque courses, local culture and amazing post-race meal. The event raised over $23,000 last year for the Madison Hornbuckle Children’s Cancer Fund and this year’s goal is even loftier.

Where: Acquoni Events Center - 1501 Acquoni Road - Cherokee, North Carolina
Course:
Runners will start at the Event Center and finish inside the stadium. The half marathon course will tour all of Cherokee and will be relatively flat except for one climb at the 6 mile mark. The 5K course will stay predominantly in town and is mostly flat.

Race Shirts & Swag
The first 700 registrants are guaranteed to receive the event swag package. This will include the long-sleeve, half zip tech shirt, fleece beanie and custom race bag plus a professional photo of you on the race course and at the finish line.
Awards
Each 5K and half marathon race finisher will receive a commemorative finisher medal.
There will be a cash purse of $1,600 for the half marathon. The prize breakdown is as follows:
Overall (Male & Female): 1st-$400, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$100; Masters (Male & Female): 1st-$100
Special awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers for Overall finishers and First place Masters (40 & Over) in each race.
Age group awards will go to the first, second and third male and female in the following age groups: 12 & Under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84 and 85 & Over. No double dipping!
The 5K awards ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM. The half marathon ceremony will begin 11:30 AM.
You or a friend must pick up your award. Awards will not be mailed!
