Master of Social Work Program Fair
7 Oct 2013
Warren Wilson College's Social Work Program will host its fifth annual MSW Program Fair Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Canon Lounge of Gladfelter Student Center.
The fair is free and open to students of Warren Wilson, Western Carolina University and Mars Hill University, as well as to other students and community members interested in pursuing a master’s degree in social work. The event is meant to help better facilitate conversations and the transmission of information between MSW programs and interested parties.
Participation of 24 programs from 13 states has been confirmed for this year’s fair. Schools such as Boston University, Tulane University and Florida State University will have representatives at the fair, as will three University of North Carolina campuses: Appalachian State, Western Carolina and North Carolina Central. Last year's fair attracted 13 programs and more than 100 interested students and community members.
The Social Work Program at Warren Wilson is a nationally accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The mission of the Social Work Program is to provide students preparation for beginning-level entry into the profession of social work through an undergraduate generalist social work education. The program offers an educationally sound, academically challenging, ethically principled and socially relevant curriculum and approach that is solidly framed by Warren Wilson’s Triad of liberal arts academics, work and service.
