Kathryn Stripling Byer Reading & Booksigning

Sunday, November 11 at 3PM at Malaprop's Bookstore & Café, former North Carolina Poet Laureate Kathryn Stripling Byer will read from and sign her sixth poetry collection, Descent: Poems. In it, she navigates the dangerous currents of family and race, and confronts the legacy of southern memory, in relation to which, she observes, too often "it's safer to stay blind."
