William Ferris: "New Voyages to Carolina" Lecture

Ferris, Joel Williamson Eminent Professor of History at UNC-Chapel Hill and former chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is author of many books and co-editor of “The Encyclopedia of Southern Culture.” Ferris’ lecture is the keynote address for the conference, “The Cultural Roots of North Carolina,” co-hosted by UNC Asheville and Western Carolina University, and sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources.
