Departing at Dawn: A Novel of Argentina's Dirty War15 Oct 2009 Join UNC-Asheville Spanish professor Alice Weldon as she presents her translation of Gloria Lisé’s novel, Departing at Dawn, which vividly portrays the historic coup that overthrew Isabel Martinez de Peròn. Weldon, who was 15 and living in Argentina during the coup, brings a unique firsthand perspective to this tragic story. She will also discuss the translation process and will be joined by Lule Rosenbaum-Bodie, who will read passages from the novel in Portugeuse.
